8-week Course, 2 hours per lesson, 1 lesson per week

Lesson-by-Lesson breakdown of Introduction to Sound Engineering Course:
01   Setting up a Studio, Audio Interface, Wiring, Speaker Placement, Software Introduction (Reaper) 1st Recording, Digital Audio Levels
02  Microphones: Types (Dynamic, Condenser, Electret), Uses, Differences, Placement
03  The Mixer: (Digital Mixer within a computer), Inserts, Sends, Faders, Routing, Grouping 
04  Compressors: Dynamic Range, Controls, Uses, Special Compressors
05  EQ (Equaliser) Frequency Response, Controls, Frequency Juggling, Subtractive EQ
06  Reverb: What it is, when to use it, main controls
07  Mixing: Demonstration of a full Mix of a Recording, Students watch & ask questions, Students take home the files to practice their own mix
08  Mix Analysis: Tutor listens to, analyses & discusses Students’ Mixes, Tutor demonstrates Mastering a Mix
