RECORDING, MIXING & MASTERING ENGINEER AND TECHNICAL TRAINER
Qualifications: Liam has been involved in the music business as a musician (bass player) and singer since the late ’70’s, and as a Sound Engineer since the early ’90’s. He has an RSA Diploma in Sound Recording and Music Technology (Islington Music Workshop, London) as well as related City & Guilds and NVQ qualifications in electronics and Sound Engineering. He gained Engineering, Mixing and Mastering experience working at Studio 3 (London), Sound Advice (London) and Cybersound (London), before setting up his own Studio, ‘Noteworthy’ in London. He moved to Cork in 2001. He also worked as a Freelance Sound Engineer for ASC (Macclesfield), as well as engineering Location Recordings in London, Kent & Surrey. His teaching experience spans many years, starting with revision studies for EdExcel students in 1998. He has privately coached students for City & Guild Music Technology courses, FETAC Level 5 & 6 courses and provides private tuition (grinds) for students attending Music Technology and Sound Engineering courses in Cork City (Cork School of Music, Colaiste Stiofan Naofa) and Limerick University, as well as running his own courses in Sound Engineering and Music Composition.
Qualifications: Val has also been involved in the music business as a flautist and singer (Tenor/Alto) since the late ’70’s. She has a BA degree in Fine Art (Photography and Painting), is a pre-school music teacher (www.valsminimusic.com) and became a special needs music therapist (British Association for Music Therapy) in 1995 She ran music classes for the Cork Down Syndrome Association and Sonas Pre-school for children with Autism for 3 years. She is a trained Assistant Engineer, Producing, Directing and auto-tuning, as well as Hosting & photographing the Pop Star Experiences. She designs the artwork for the on-body CD (thermal) printing as well as Managing the day to day running of the Studio.
